Ridgefield Lakes

Ridgefield's many lake communities are some of the most sought-after real estate in all of Fairfield County.  Lake living provides year-round opportunities for boating, swimming, "beaching", fishing, skating, and more right outside your door.  It also offers a special kind of relaxation that you can only find on the lake: beautiful lake views, spectacular sunsets, fall foliage and the sights and sounds of nature.  On this webpage, you will find information about Ridgefield's fabulous lake communities and the homes currently available for purchase.

The Rainbow Lake Experience

As a resident of Ridgefield Connecticut’s Rainbow Lake, it astounds me how my life has taken a turn that I could not have dreamed of before purchasing my home on Rainbow Lake.  As soon as we put our heads to the pillow on our first night here, we were so sure that we had made the right decision.  Upon waking up for the first time, taking the first sip of hot morning coffee, and staring out at the pair of swans followed by their cygnets, we knew we had found a very special place.

The first season we experienced on the lake was Autumn. The vibrant colored leaves falling gently on the water and ground was almost too breathtaking for words.  Before the snow came, we were invited by the Lakes Association to the annual holiday party.  What a joyous event to be introduced to a wide variety of people; artists, conservationists, attorneys, financiers, moms, dads and lots of dog owners.

The one outstanding trait about our little lake, is that everyone seems to respect each other’s privacy, yet, gives a friendly wave as you walk or ride by.

In the Summer, the members of the Lakes Association host a seasonal barbeque where neighbors can drop by Crescent Beach for a burger, beverage, conversation and to say hi to their friends and meet new ones.  The children partake in activities ranging from tug o’ war and swim races, to potato sack hops.

Life on Rainbow Lake is the way life should be, but, most often isn’t. We are an easy commute to NYC, Danbury, Wilton, Stamford & Greenwich, but, when you’re home you feel like you’re on vacation.

If you decide to live here, take pride in the fact that you have made a choice to reject the pressure to stay stressed in our all too busy Society.  When you live on Rainbow Lake, you are part of a community of people who want nothing more than to enjoy the time they spend, and, relax at the place they call “Home”.
